Yours & Owls Festival 2026 once again transformed Wollongong's Flagstaff Hill into a buzzing playground of live music and festival energy.
There was a real sense of discovery throughout the day, with the smaller acts often generating some of the biggest surprises. Great performance from Egoism, Loose Content, Horse and Mid Drift but just as DMA'S were about to hit the stage the weather turned. A sudden thunderstorm forced a delay, putting performances on hold as organisers prioritised crowd safety. The interruption tested everyone’s patience, but once the storm cleared, the festival found its rhythm again.
One of the best live bands in the country DMA'S finally arrived and delivered a set of classic indie rock, impressing fans and creating new ones.
The rain did continue and also the brilliant performances, from the impressive talent of Australian music that included G Flip, PNAU, Genesis Owusu, Sex Mask, Hiatus Kaiyote, Middle Kids, Ball Park Music, Mac The Knife and an exclusive performance from BBNO$ a Canadian rapper with his playoff take on hip-hop, blending catchy hooks, absurdist humour and internet culture into highly infectious tracks including a special performance from Milkshake man Go-Jo.
As always a brilliantly curated festival! A bit of something for everyone.
