Yours and Owls everyone's favourite festival returns to Wollongong starting Saturday on Flagstaff hill with an Australian exclusive from bbno$ headlining and featuring G Flip, Ball Park Music, DMA'S, Genesis Owusu plus more.
bbno$ pronounced “baby no money” is a Canadian rapper, charismatic, funny and unconventional artist who makes hip-hop designed to make you laugh, move and sing along. Breaking through globally with the viral 2019 hit “Lalala”.
Multi-instrumentalist and powerhouse drummer G Flip will bring her raw, physical energy to the Gong and Ball Park Music one of Australia’s most beloved indie rock bands will provide bright indie-pop melodies and emotional moments into big unforgettable singalongs.
One of the highlights on Saturday will be Sydney trio DMA'S their Britpop-inspired guitar music and anthemic songwriting. Fronted by the distinctive, soaring vocals of Tommy O’Dell, alongside Johnny Took and Matt Mason, the band have built a sound that moves between acoustic intimacy and festival-sized singalongs. Will be playing songs off their just released self titled album and all the hits from their classic albums including Hills End.
Not to be missed and returning to Yours and Owls festival after their 2019 debut is Genesis Owusu one of Australia’s most distinctive and genre-defying artists a fearless, shape-shifting artist whose music feels like hip-hop colliding with punk, funk and futuristic soul.
Sunday sees the event move into the Wollongong CBD, with music taking over laneway's, streets and venues throughout the city. Expect a festival built around discovery, with performances spread across large and small spaces, closed-off streets and unexpected corners of the CBD.
