The biggest metal band on the planet is returning down under – and they’re bringing with them those masked ghouls of discordant mayhem – Slipknot.
The Worldwired Tour will be the first time Metallica has been in the country since they headlined the massive Soundwave 2013, on a line-up that also featured the likes of Slayer, Linkin Park, A Perfect Circle, Ghost, Anthrax, The Offspring and Blink-182.
This time around they’re bringing the equally-overdue-for-a-return Slipknot – for a huge nationwide tour in October, playing dates in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
The last time Metallica were out here doing a proper headline tour was 2010 – so the anticipation is at fever pitch.
With Slipknot’s new album set to drop in August – this just might be the most important metal tour announcement of the calendar year – so do not hesitate to get over to Live Nation now to secure your tickets.
As if you needed anything to sweeten the deal, every ticket purchased includes a copy of the band’s tenth and current album, ‘Hardwired… To Self-Destruct’ as well as a free MP3 download of the show(s) attended, mixed and mastered by the team behind ‘Hardwired… To Self-Destruct’.
Raise the horns – this is gonna be loud.
