New noise: Spidermonkey

Two brothers: the youngest thumping away on a hastily-assembled drumkit, the oldest peeling off ’90s-sounding guitar parts, while they both trade vocal melodies indiscriminately. This is the formula Spidermonkey arrived at within a few minutes of their first practice session, and one they haven’t tampered with since. With a string of hooky singles in their recent past, and an aversion to live bass guitar, Spidermonkey are the best two-piece group since Garfunkel and that other guy.
