New noise: Golden Duck Orchestra

GOLDEN DUCK ORCHESTRA is a Brazilian band formerly known as MegaRex. While the band’s core sound is rock, GDO also incorporates different styles such as Pop, Brazilian folk elements, electronic music and other surprising musical twists. The lyrics are humorous and the same upbeat and tongue-in-cheek approach is present in their live performance. In March 2010 the band played at South by Southwest (Austin, TX), followed by a small East Coast tour featuring Boston and NYC (at the CMJ Festival). After a five year hiatus, the band (now named GOLDEN DUCK ORCHESTRA) is now releasing their new album, the GOLDEN DUCK ORCHESTRA 1st EP.
