“Having only really shot smaller club shows, it was amazing to finally shoot a larger scale gig. Having a dedicated lighting tech who did an amazing job really helped me capture better shots and to be in between the large crowd and the artist was an amazing experience in itself. The energy that both the crowd and the artists gave off was something I had never been apart of before so it was really exciting for me.“

Post Process: Post process involved me getting home from the concert just after midnight and sift through the hundreds of photos taken to edit 20 of my best for the publication. In this particular photo I was lucky enough to have a strobe go off at the time of capture, making it the real stand out image for me. A few basic adjustments (Exposure, highlights, saturation ect) played around with Curves and sharpened up the image a little.
I started shooting live music in March 2016 for my friends who run an event here in Perth. I was immediately hooked and knew that I wanted to continue shooting live music. I started shooting shows for some of my friends bands and in late 2016 joined the team at Wall Of Sound as a photographer.Learn more about Josh Ludlow
