“It’s always a pleasure to shoot psychedelic bands because of how seriously they approach the visual side of their shows. In this instance, King Gizz used beautiful abstract imagery on the background screen, which added so many colours and shapes to the final image.”

Gear: Canon EOS 5D MkIII, with a 24-70 f/2.8 lens
Post Process: First of all, I played around with white balance of the image to check if there is a combination that allows better reproduction of details; especially in such a colourful shot like this one, when there is no natural skin tone to refer to. Then the standard sharpness/noise removal routine, plus touching up curves in the black areas to reveal more details in the shadows.
Music photographer capturing rock’n’roll action in Melbourne and other places I happen to visit. My interests have always revolved around journalism, so after 5 years of shooting live shows I started directing and filming music documentaries where I can incorporate both of my passions: beautiful imagery and storytelling.
