“Atreyu were a lot of fun to shoot, the lead guitarist in particular as he seemed to like posing for the photographers. They’re a lively band who move around a lot, but with good lighting conditions and enough room in the pit, it wasn’t too difficult to get some good shots that showed off what an enjoyable live band they are.”

Post Process: Thankfully the lights were in my favour and I just had to do some very light colour correction to remove a bit of redness, and brighten the image up a bit. I decided to give the image a tight crop to frame the subject better.
I have shot just about every genre of music out there from metal to hip hop, reggae to indie. Most of my work has involved rock and metal bands, but I’m open to anything. I have also done special events like the opening night of the Adelaide Fringe Festival, and Neko Nation Adelaide.Learn more about Sofie Marsden
