“This shoot was one of the toughest I’ve had in a while! There was no photo pit, it was a small venue, and the front few rows of the crowd were really squashed in. The crowd went nuts when Apocalyptica came on, and were leaning forward over the stage. Some of the members were playing so close to the front and almost within reach – which is what led to this shot.”

Post Process: I don’t a huge amount of post processing on my photos, I want to accurately represent what I saw on the night. The blue light was really strong, so I just tried to reduce the harshness of it to get more detail. I’m really into high contrast images, so I always increase the blacks quite a bit.
