“The media scrum was split into two and sent to the sides of the photo pit with instruction “stay still and not to move around too much.” We were crammed in but thankfully I’m a tall guy and could see over the top of the front speakers which helped to give me an original angle to shoot from but we were all restricted which meant that it was twice as important to get creative very quickly.”

Post Process: Initially processed in Adobe Lightroom for the usual tweaks and cropping before being further manipulated using Nik Software’s Analog Efex Pro 2. The resulting .tif file was then sent to Adobe Photoshop for some very slight and selective cleaning up before being saved and exported for my editor.
I started taking photos in 2006 and taking photos of people is what I enjoyed the most. I found that being able to capture that human connection, their emotion or their soul was the most humbling of tasks and I have spent years watching and waiting with my camera at the ready.
