    “Innovative, infectious hip hop beats, soulful melodic hooks and rhythmical rhymes laden with bravado”…….. All key elements of the unique Turnstyle sound. In 2003 Turnstyle independently recorded and released their first album “Calculated Crhymes”. It showcased the group’s versatility and willingness to experiment with a combination of electronic sounds and live instrumentation. “Meet You Out The Front”, a Spanish flavoured jam received extensive radio airplay and the accompanying video was featured on tv for over 6 months. 2007 saw the group launch “Paperchase” a monthly live hip hop event held at some of the hottest clubs in Sydney including Favela and The Bourbon. They also took Paperchase on the road to Canberra, Melbourne & Newcastle. In November 2007 they blew the lid off the AIS Arena in Canberra as one of the headlining acts at The National Hip Hop and Breakdancing Championships. Towards the end of 2007 Turnstyle Puppets began work on their second album “Arrival Of The Fittest” the follow up to “Calculated Crhymes” and a more focused collection of tracks that promises to flip the script on even the most discerning of rap fans. The 2nd single from the album, the anthemic “Can We Get A Clap”, lauded by street press and radio, including FBI radio as one of their “Top 5 Fave Aussie Tunes”. In 2007, legendary producer and 3 x ITF champion - D Cypha joined TP, taking their already killer sound to the next level. With his skills behind the turntables and his sick production skills now in the mix, Turnstyle Puppets are an undeniable force in hip hop.
