As its main producer, singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist, Reznor is the only official member of Nine Inch Nails and remains solely responsible for its direction. NIN's music straddles a wide range of genres, while retaining a characteristic sound using electronic instruments and processing. After recording a new album, Reznor usually assembles a live band to perform with him. The touring band features a revolving lineup that often rearranges songs to fit a live setting. 1st time I ever heard them do Closer was on a local alt. rock radio station, uncensored version, was driving & nearly ran off the road! I pulled over, then called the radio station asking who the hell it was, and they told me I'd never hear that version on radio again, they couldn't resist doing it once though. Ever since I've been a mega NIN fan.

Ghosts make people listen to the music and appreciate each sound a instrument makes individually or in harmony with other instruments. It opens the senses of our hearing and we can better appreciate music without a biased perception.
I mean, aparently he wakes up in the morning, writes some music all day, and probably sees his wife a bit here and there now hes married, that is true music, where there is nothing else, just pure dedication to sound and epic.

I personally think that Trent Reznor is the most brilliant musician of our time.
Trent is such a gracious person to give respect for band members in such a sincere way at the end when each and every one says their good-bye to the crowd. It's awesome how it seems as though Trent connects to the crowd, for those 2 hours you were with him and he was telling you his story, and he waves and says goodbye sincerely as well.

He sounds great live. It's hard to tell these days cuz everyone lip synchs. One way you can tell is if they sing perfectly to the track, then they're probably lip synching.
