This Heavy Metal LA band, born in the 80's, is renowned for its distinctive, technical instrumental style.
Considered as up there with the best of the thrash metal crew, Megadeth has become a god of its musical kind with fans, credited with increasing the popularity of the thrash metal sub-genre.
With an active career spanning over 25 years the band has undergone heaps of changes, meaning it boasts a history of 20 official members. The only two original members remaining today are guitarist/vocalist Dave Mustaine and bassist David Ellefson.
Megadeth has reportedly sold in excess of 25 million albums worldwide - not bad going for founding member Mustaine, who was sacked from mega band Metallica for reportedly clashing with the other band members, alongside his substance use and violent behaviour.
