Sydney based 5 piece band, The Corps, play original hard-edged rock & roll. From the influences of bands like Motorhead, Rose Tattoo, and Condemned 84 comes an Oi! sound, yet heavier and laced with slide-guitar. Founded in 2004, The Corps has pursued an Aussie tradition of no-bullshit rock & roll which has created a growing cult following both locally & abroad. There has been a few line-up changes over the years with the departure of the original bassist and two slide/lead players, but the band continues to pound out hard as nails Oi!-influenced pub rock with a line-up that has never been better. With two EPs under their belts (originally self-released, but re-released on one disc by Scampkid Records), and a full-length album out on Dutch label Rebellion Records, the band has kept up a constant recording regime that will see the recording of another full-length in 2008.
